Stack Dynamics SS7 Stack Stack Overview The Stack Dynamics SS7 Stack is designed to address the third-party signalling protocol software market. The stack is designed not for a single host-computer/network-interface-card architecture, but is instead designed to be portable across different host computer architectures, different host operating systems and different network interface cards. The Stack Dynamics SS7 Stack includes MTP-2, MTP-3, SCCP, TCAP and ISUP. MTP-2 is available now; the other parts are in development. The Stack Dynamics SS7 Stack is a software product. It initially runs on Sun's Solaris operating system but can be provided for other operating systems as required, including HP-UX, Microsoft Windows NT, AIX, LINUX and real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and VRTX. Stack Dynamics supplies the software in both binary and source form, with no extra charge for source. This gives customers the flexibility and security of source code with no associated price premium. MTP-2 typically resides on an E1/T1 network interface card. Stack Dynamics will port MTP-2 to the customer's choice of card. The stack supports the ITU SS7 standard initially.
